The Worx Group Tops National Award Winners List
Ten American Graphic Design Awards Total More Than Any Firm in the Country
(Prospect, CT - November 1, 2005) - Prospect-based marketing communications firm The Worx Group won ten American Graphic Design awards in the 42nd annual juried competition sponsored by Graphic Design USA magazine. The ten national awards - for excellence in categories including advertising, brochures and collateral, interactive design and signage - are the most garnered by any firm in the country.
"Because this competition is one of the most selective and prestigious in the industry, winning one national award is an honor," said Grant Copeland, Vice President of Design at The Worx Group. "For us to win ten is amazing, and to know that we were the most celebrated firm in the nation is even more astounding."
Award winners were selected from over 10,000 entries by an esteemed panel including advertising agency heads, leading designers, editors and magazine publishers. Winning pieces for The Worx Group included print, online and interactive work for clients FedEx, Kuehne + Nagel, GenesisSolutions, Wood Group, ConAgra Foods and IBM. Copeland served as Creative Director on all the award winners. The pieces will be featured in the December issue of Graphic Design USA, available on newsstands and at bookstores nationwide.
Says Copeland: "Winning awards is certainly not the impetus for the work that we do; driving clients' sales and marketing through communications and design is. But being held in such high regard by a group of peers from across the U.S. is a fantastic compliment and justification of the unique expertise we provide for our clients."
