Noteworthy Woman, Donna Palomba, Earns Community Award

Donna Palomba, managing member of The Worx Group, was honored as one of “20 Noteworthy Women” by the New Haven Business Times. Palomba and the other honorees received awards at the 12th annual recognition breakfast on April 7 in Branford, Connecticut.

The prestigious award celebrated 20 women in the Greater New Haven area, who are successful in all facets of their lives. The recognized women are leaders in their professional careers and active members in their communities. The candidates were nominated by their co-workers and colleagues, and then carefully chosen by the New Haven Business Times staff based on their professional and personal contributions to the community.

Palomba, a dynamic business woman and tireless leader in the community, is co-founder of The Worx Group, a full-service marketing firm in Prospect, CT.  She was the 2005 recipient of the Woman of the Year Award from the Greater Waterbury Business Women's Forum. Palomba is a member of the Waterbury Regional Chamber, the National Association of Female Executives and the Connecticut Community Foundation.  Palomba serves on the board of the United Way of Greater Waterbury, Special Olympics CT, Safe Haven and the Nonprofit Assistance Initiative (NAI).

“I am so pleased and honored to be a part of this exemplary group of women,” remarks Palomba. “I feel privileged to work closely with the community on important issues, and hope that my efforts have made and will continue to make a difference in the lives of others.”
